The phrase "it's a bird, it's a plane" may be straight out of Norman Rockwell days, but it certainly applies to the Toyota vision of futuristic urban, gas-free transportation.
The Japanese automaker says the world-premiere concept unveiling of a two-seat urban electric vehicle called the i-Road will take place at the Geneva Motor Show next month, and has released a top-view picture of the model. For now, all that Toyota will say about the i-Road is that it is "compact," "fun" and "emissions-free." The picture appears to reveal a tandem-seating arrangement and a layout that includes two semi-detached front wheels and a single windshield wiper (hey, the car's pretty narrow). Beyond that, well, there's not much to go on. Along with the i-Road, Toyota will be showing off its FT-86 "open" concept, the Auris Touring Sports wagon and the fourth-generation RAV4 SUV. The show starts March 7.Courtesy of autoblog.com
